The VW Beetle Brand
Objective: Choose a car with a long brand history. Then, design and render everyday products based on that brand.
I chose the VW Beetle, focusing especially on the 1952 model.
Water Pitcher
My first product was a water pitcher. I pulled inspiration from the Beetle’s chrome accents, hood design, and overall curvy, puffy shape. The chrome pitcher handle mimics the vintage trunk handle.

Utility Knife
My other product was a utility knife. It uses a popular color for the 1952 car and integrated chrome. The car also has a continuous extruded edge by the windows, mimicked in the chrome ridge of the knife. Finally, the impractically curvy shape of the car is replicated.
